I am strongly influenced by animation, film, and music of the 1920s through the 1940s.  I look to the work of animation artists Ward Kimball, Bob Clampett, and Chuck Jones for inspiration, and non-animation artists like Fred Astaire, Fats Waller, James Cagney, Spike Jones, and the Boswell Sisters.  (There are many more I could list, but that’s a good start.)
